“Keep your food as fresh as the day it was harvested.”
Bethlehem understands that commercial freezers are an entirely different type of construction than “cool” or ambient storage. Vapor drive encourages moisture to seep in any crack and create ice inside if a vapor barrier is not correctly designed and installed. The resulting ice can cause severe building and product damage as well as require very costly ongoing maintenance and create an unsafe situation for workers. Heaving floors can also be costly business interruption if floor heating or other ant freezing systems are not employed. Another aspect of freezer construction that Bethlehem understands is the increased importance of good thermal design to save energy and keep costs down.
Water vapor must be stopped at every crack, joint or opening that it could sneak through. To accomplish this, a specially designed vapor barrier is incorporated into all wall panels, the roof, and the floor. Much care needs to be exercised when dealing with the barrier as to not tear or poke an holes during installation. By installing the barrier in sandwich panels at the plant it helps with this to get good quality control. At junctions of roof to wall and wall to floor or panel to panel it requires care in treating those details correctly. Bethlehem has demonstrated our ability to perform this work successfully numerous times.
In order to keep floors nice and smooth so forklifts can move product efficiently, in most cases a floor heating system is uses. Bethlehem can present the types and present the pros and cons of different ones as well as an analysis and recommendation of which will be best for each situation.
As the inside temperature goes down the more thermal efficiency comes into play. Good thermal efficiency will save energy and money as you go about operating your business.
